The Keeper of the Record: Actionable Intelligence for PSAP Recording

911 recording is no longer just about recording calls and radio. Public service answering points (PSAPs) deal with an onslaught of communication mediums. From text messages, photos and videos to computer-aided dispatch systems, each medium holds critical information vital to emergency response operations. Doesn’t your PSAP want actionable intelligence from all that data? From a single point of management? Eventide Communications is ready to be your keeper of the record.

The Power of Data with NexLog® DX

Find the Truth | 85+ Seamless Integrations | Real-Time Access and Analysis

Eventide recorders do more than capture audio and screen activity; they provide a platform for analyzing and understanding the data within those recordings. By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced search capabilities, users can uncover the real story behind every communication. Whether verifying the sequence of events or identifying critical keywords, Eventide's systems make it possible to find the truth quickly and accurately.

Eventide's NexLog DX-Series recorders integrate with over 85 communication and data systems, including major CAD and radio systems, ensuring compatibility and comprehensive coverage. This extensive integration capability means that almost any communication channel used by a 911 center can be recorded and analyzed through Eventide's systems.

With the NexLog DX-Series, recordings are stored and immediately available for real-time access and analysis. Whether reviewing an ongoing incident or conducting a post-incident analysis, Eventide's systems provide the tools needed for immediate and effective action.

Actionable Intelligence from ALL Communications

911 Calls & Video | CHE | SMS/MMS | LMR | Administrative Phones | CAD Systems

By integrating data from call handling equipment (CHE), land mobile radio (LMR), short message/multimedia messaging services (SMS/MMS), administrative phones, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems, Eventide’s NexLog DX recording solutions provide a comprehensive, multi-faceted view of communications and operations. This approach enhances situational awareness, improves incident response, and supports thorough analysis and reporting, leading to better decision-making and operational efficiency. Additionally, NexLog recorders manage these diverse data sources through advanced integration and synchronization tools, further enhancing their ability to streamline workflows and reduce operational costs.

Integration and Consolidation

CHE Data

NexLog DX systems integrate with nearly all CHE platforms, capturing all critical communications and associated metadata, such as i3 logging events, automatic number/location identification (ANI/ALI), caller ID, location, call type, agent ID, ring time, average speed of answer, average handle time, and the number of holds/transfers performed by an agent.

Video

With the ability for a call taker to send a link to a caller to activate their camera and see what the caller is describing sweeping the PSAP world, Eventide jumped in early and can capture video and texts from new video vendors.

LMR and Administrative Phones:

Nexlog DX systems record all major land mobile radio (LMR) systems used in today's United States and Canadian public safety market, ensuring all communications are captured and accounted for in aggregate metrics across the entire 911 incident. The system supports integration with multiple administrative phone networks, including those from alarm companies and other sources, ensuring that all voice communications, whether over 911 lines, radio, or 10-digit telephone lines, are centrally recorded. This includes push-to-talk, talk group IDs, and for some LMRs, the location of the person when they keyed their microphone.

Location Information

Location data from wireless 911 callers is captured from the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) ANI/ALI CAD spill or more accurately from RapidSOS, which also provides additional data like medical information and UBER driver details.

CAD Systems

Eventide’s NexLog DX interfaces with CAD systems to capture and synchronize dispatch data, incident logs, nature of the incident, and other relevant information, providing a comprehensive view of all communications and actions taken during an incident. It allows for efficient searches based on a combination of CAD and 911 data.

Advanced-Data Layering

Synchronization

The NexLog DX system can synchronize data from CHE, LMR, administrative phones, and CAD systems, allowing for unified playback and review of all relevant communications and actions. This synchronization ensures that users can see a complete timeline of events, combining voice, text, and incident data.

Metadata Enrichment

Each recorded communication is enriched with metadata such as time stamps, caller IDs, push-to-talk IDs, and CAD incident numbers. This metadata allows for precise searching, filtering, and analysis, making extracting actionable insights from the recorded data easier.

Data

Evntide’s NexLog DX is able to capture data from other PSAPs’ systems, including CAD and location data, that can be used to find specific recordings or to mine the data for operational efficiencies.

Layering Additional Data

Screen Recording

Eventide’s NexLog DX systems can capture and synchronize screen recordings from operator consoles, adding a visual layer to the voice and text data. This feature is particularly useful for incident reconstruction and training, providing context to recorded communications.

AI and Analytics

The integration of AI capabilities allows for automated analysis of the recorded data. Features like call summarization, speech-to-text transcription, keyword spotting and alerting, and performance analytics can be layered on top of the CHE, LMR, administrative phone, and CAD data, providing deeper insights, enabling proactive decision-making, and improving future outcomes.

Intelligence & Reporting Tools

Eventide’s systems support advanced reporting and intelligence tools that aggregate data from various sources into actionable reports. These tools help PSAPs monitor performance metrics, compliance, and operational efficiency across all communication channels.

Unified Interface and Accessibility

MediaWorks DX

This web-based application provides a unified interface for accessing and managing all recorded data. Users can perform multi-parameter searches, replay synchronized audio and screen recordings, and generate reports from a single platform, ensuring that all data layers are easily accessible and actionable.
